Definition

An ERP (Emergency Response Plan) is a written procedure that explains the actions to be taken during emergencies such as fire, gas leak, structural collapse, explosion, or medical emergency.

Its main purpose is to protect lives, minimize injuries, and reduce property damage.


Fire Emergency on Construction Site (Step-by-Step)


1. Raise the Alarm

 • Shout “FIRE, FIRE!”

 • Activate the nearest fire alarm or siren

 • Inform the supervisor immediately


2. Stop Work Immediately

 • Shut down equipment if it is safe to do so

 • Isolate electrical sources if trained and authorized


3. Evacuation

 • Leave tools and materials

 • Move calmly to the assembly point

 • Follow designated emergency exit routes

 • Do not run or use lifts (if applicable)


4. Fire Fighting (Only If Safe)

 • Use the correct type of fire extinguisher

 • Only trained and authorized persons should attempt

 • Never fight a large or spreading fire
