Topsoe's air pollution control technologies provide energy efficient
and reliable solutions for the cleaning of air, flue- and waste gases.
Now, Topsoe has developed a new ground-breaking series of SCR and CO oxidation catalysts tailored for gas turbine service, the series is designated the DNX® GT-series.
The DNX® GT-series
The DNX® GT-series is developed to enhance power production by minimising the pressure drop and the required space for catalyst in the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG).
“A 20% boost in volume activity for the GT catalysts will give you a corresponding reduction in the required catalyst volume. Together with a 10% lower specific pressure drop the GT catalyst will assure a saving in overall pressure loss across the SCR catalyst in the order of 30% compared to the previous DNX® catalysts used for gas turbine service”, says Niklas B. Jakobsson, Principal Research Engineer at Haldor Topsoe.
The DNX® GT-series also includes GTC catalysts for CO oxidation. The GTC catalysts benefit from a dual functionality which makes the catalyst active in CO and VOC oxidation as well as in the SCR reaction when positioned directly downstream the SCR catalyst.
In-house developmentThe DNX® GT-series of catalysts has been developed in-house by Topsoe R&D and is now ready to be introduced to the global marked for air pollution control; a market upon which Topsoe holds a leading position.
