is a village in Ainavilli Mandal, East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Mukteswaram is a historical shrine (according) mentioned in Puranas This village named by Mukteswara Swamy temple. This temple is on the bank of the Godavari River. Sri Muktikanta Kshana Mukteswara Swamy Swamy temple is one of the important Shiva temples.

                 According to Ramanaya Lord Sriram returned from Srilanka in Pushpaka Vimanam he saw a Bright Shivalinga then he prayed Lord Shiva and ask Lord Shiva stay here. Nearby Lord Sri Rama, Sramani named devotee performed penance for Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva appears in front of the devotee and give to her Mukti in fraction of seconds. So here the Lord Shiva called as Kshana Mukteswara Swamy.
