Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) would attract sizeable investments at the World Economic Forum (WEF) - 2025 scheduled to be held at Davos in Switzerland from January 20 and felt that a significant chunk of it is likely to flow into the renewable energy sector.

In a brief chat with media persons at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Saturday, Mr. Naidu asserted that the Davos trip would help in ‘marketing the investment opportunities in the State’ by connecting with global companies and that the government was striving to realise the potential of green energy and biofuels. Investments amounting to ₹10 lakh crore were expected to be made in green energy.

The CM said the State would have pothole-free roads by the end of next month, and, as part of the emphasis on electric mobility, the government was going to set up 5,000 EV charging stations in the coming months. The PM Surya Ghar scheme was implemented throughout Kuppam and it would be expanded across the State. The Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) stations being established by Reliance Industries would fetch a rent of ₹30,000 per acre for farmers, and the waste generated by them (CBG stations) could be used as fertilizers.

Mr. Naidu said the government was trying to implement welfare schemes more efficiently by using data and that every house was being geo-tagged for that purpose.

The village and ward secretariats would be put to the best possible use and the surplus employees would be re-allocated to relevant departments. Advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things were being utilised to improve the government services, Mr. Naidu said, adding that the concept paper of P4 (Public, Private, People Partnership) model of development would be released soon.
