Lord Narasimha: Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is the fourth Avatar of Sri Maha Vishnu.

Lord Vishnu took this avatar to save Prahalada from his demon father Hiranyakashipu.

The Face is lion and the body is a human body to Narasimha Swamy.

He is also called as Bhargava Narasimha Swamy, Yogananda Narasimha, Krodakara or Varaha Narasimha Swamy, Karanja Narasimha Swamy, Jwala Nrisimha Swamy and Ugra Narasimha.

Lord Narasimha is known by many names. The word ‘Narasimha’ comprises of two words – ‘nara’ meaning ‘man’ and ‘sinha’ meaning ‘lion’.

His birth is celebrated as Narasimha Jayanti that falls on Vaishakha Shukla Chaturdashi.
