A
Winkler titration to determine the concentration of dissolved oxygen in
a water sample. The dissolved oxygen has been converted to an
equivalent amount of iodine, which is being titrated with thiosulfate
using a starch indicator. The blue color in the flask will disappear
when all the iodine has been converted to iodide.

Chemistry is a branch of science that includes more than just heating and boiling. Every day, we witness vast industrial buildings that employ diverse chemical processes to generate various items. Everything from agricultural fertilisers to skin lotion reveals the pervasiveness and uses of Chemistry in everyday life. Chemical engineers have developed ways for scaling chemical processes for commercial usage that utilise chemistry's rules and concepts. The chemistry of atoms and molecules is used to create, among other things, fertilisers, superconducting ceramics, petroleum products, solvents, polymers, soaps, and detergents. This blog article discusses the topic of Chemistry in everyday life and its significance. Continue reading! at SSSi Online Tuition Classes
