A:OHSAS 18000 is an international occupational health and safety management system specification.
It consists of two parts: OHSAS 18001 and OHSAS 18002.
OHSAS 18001 is an occupational health and safety assessment series designed to help organizations control occupational safety and health risks. OHSAS 18001 was produced in respond to organizational demand for a recognized standard against which to be certified and assessed. Areas covered by OHSAS 18001 include the identification of hazards, risk assessment and control and emergency preparedness and response.
OHSAS 18002 is an implementation guide for OHSAS 18001. As such, it provides guidelines and requirements to help organizations to attain to implementation and registration in accordance with OHSAS 18001.
