Plantation of saplings taken up at NFCL as part of Environment Week celebrations

Kakinada: As part of Environment Week celebrations, Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals organised plantation of saplings here on Wednesday.


AP Pollution Control Board assistant engineer Ashok Kumar attended as chief guest for the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the need to bring down the use of plastic in our day to day life. This would help in making better environment for the generations to come, the official said. 

NFCL chief engineer VK Grover said it was the duty of everyone to propagate for discarding the use of plastics and it would be a great contribution to the nation as a whole for environment protection. 

He also revealed that NFCL was following the footsteps of its founder by taking all measures to protect the environment with the motto ‘industry in harmony with nature’.
 
A large number of saplings were planted by the employees in the plant green belt area on the occasion. A good number of NFCL employees participated in the rally organised by APPCB to mark the occasion.
