THE 9 MAIN TESTS FOR MATERIALS (Concrete, Soils, Asphalt)
1. CONCRETE TESTS
Strength vs Time: Concrete strength increases with curing time (7 days to 28 days).
Strength vsWater/Cement Ratio: Strength decreases with higher water/cement ratio.
Slump vs Time:Measures workability and slump loss over time.
2. SOIL TESTS
Proctor Test: Determinesoptimum moisture content (OMC) and maximum dry density.
California Bearing Ratio (CBR):Measures load-bearing capacity of soil for pavement design.
Atterberg Limits: Defines soilplasticity characteristics (LL = Liquid Limit, PI = Plasticity Index).
3. ASPHALT TESTS -
MarshallStability Test: Determines stability and flow of asphalt mix at different bitumen contents.
Flow Test:
Measures deformation under load.
Voids Analysis: Shows void percentage variation with asphaltcontent.
