Avalanche warning in Jammu & Kashmir,Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand for next 24 hrs

The advisory was issued by the Snow and Avalanche StudyEstablishment (SASE), part of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). 'Medium danger' warning exists for avalanche prone areas in Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipore, Kargil, Shopian, Anantnag, Kulgam, Rajouri, Doda and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir, the advisory said.

Anantnag, Kulgam, Rajouri, Doda and Poonch districts of Jammu and
Kashmir, the advisory said.
Pharkian, Z-Gali, Kanzalwan, Banihal Top, Gulmarg, Haddan Taj, Neelam and Dras areas of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed fresh snowfall of 53 cm, 39 cm, 9 cm, 12 cm, 25 cm, 70 cm,43cm and 7 cm respectively during the last 24 hours.
In Himachal Pradesh, Dhundi and Patsio had fresh snowfall of 60 cm and 32 cm while Bahang and Solang Nala witnessed rainfall of 78.6 mm and 70 mm respectively, it said.
