Trust to plant 10 lakh trees in Vizag district VISAKHAPATNAM: The
Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust on Sunday announced that it intends
to plant 10 lakh trees in Visakhapatnam district in the next five years.
Speaking to media persons at Bheemunipatnam near here, the trust chairman, Umar Alisha, said the trust has consulted landscaping experts and it will plant two-year-old trees. It will also go for trees that are above 10 feet in height to ensure quick greenery. He said trust will take up the responsibility of trees for another two years.

Alisha said it is every person's responsibility to protect the
environment and plant trees which provide oxygen for people and society.
The trust will select trees, which can withstand wind speed of 200 kmph
during cyclones.
