How to charge and unload the air conditioner in detail

Charging and unloading the air conditioner is essential to maintain cooling efficiency and the air conditioner working efficiently. This process requires precise knowledge to ensure the safety of the system. Here are the detailed steps on how to charge and unload the air conditioner:

Step One: make sure the ac is needed to charge

Before you start charging, make sure the AC really needs to be recharged. You can check this by several signs, such as:

Poor performance: Poor cooling or heating in the room.

Pipes freeze: You may notice an ice or freeze on the pipes.

Low gas pressure: can be checked using a specialized pressure gauge.

Leakage: Ensure there is no leakage in the system, as charging the system with leakage will result in rapid loss of gas.

Step Two: Prepare for Shipping

Measuring Instruments: You need a proper pressure gauge (pressure scope or manometer) to measure pressure in the system.

Proper Gas: Be sure of the type of gas required, such as the R-410A, R-22 or r32, as each type of air conditioner has specific gas.

Hygiene and safety: wear gloves and protective eyeglasses to protect yourself from gases.

Step 3: dumping the old gas

System Shutdown: Turn off the AC and disconnect.

Discharge machine arrived: connect discharge pipes to low pressure valve and high pressure valve in the system.

Pump Run: Use a discharge pump to pull old gas out of the system as a whole. Keep doing this until the internal pressure in the system reaches 30 inches below zero.

Lock Confirmation: After the unloading process, make sure to close the valves tightly.

Step Four: Charging with new gas

Gas connection: Plug the gas cylinder into the low pressure valve.

Slow Gas Opening: Slowly open the gas valve to allow gas into the system. Avoid opening quickly to avoid increasing the entry of gas or liquid in large quantities, which affects the compressor.

Pressure Check: Use a pressure gauge to check pressure during the shipping process. According to the manufacturer's manual, proper pressure must be reached.

Ensure full charge: After the pressure has reached the required level, close the valves and ensure there are no leaks.

Step 5: performance test

Air Conditioning On: Turn on the air conditioner and check the cooling efficiency.

Checking Gas Pressure: After running the AC for a while, double check the pressure using the gauge to ensure gas stability.

Important notes

Attention to safety: Caution should be exercised when handling coolant gases given their health and environmental risk.

Leakage Test: After charging, it is recommended to use a leak detector to check for no leaks to ensure the system works efficiently.

Guidelines: Follow manufacturer's instructions regarding the type and quantity of gas used.

By following these steps, you can safely and efficiently charge and unload your air conditioner.
