Lifecycle assessment tool
The lifecycle assessment (LCA) tool can be useful in evaluating the
environmental effects of a product, a process, or an activity throughout
its lifetime, which is also commonly known as a ‘cradle to grave’
analysis.
The purpose of a LCA can be to:
(1) Promote product stewardship
(2) Compare alternative products, processes or services
(3) Compare alternative lifecycles for a certain product or service
(4) Identify parts of the life cycle where the greatest improvements can be made.
