Greenko’s site safety protocols are heavily anchored in corporate EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality) standards. The core rules are structured below to maximize safety compliance for personnel working on active construction, renewable energy, and power sites.
- Mandatory Helmet & Vest: Hard hats and high-visibility vests must be worn correctly at all times outside designated safe zones.
- Proper Footwear: Industrial safety boots with steel toes and non-slip soles are required for all fieldwork.
- Eye Protection: Safety glasses or goggles must be worn during drilling, cutting, grinding, or handling chemicals.
- Hand & Ear Protection: Appropriate chemical-resistant or cut-resistant gloves and ear protection/earplugs must be worn in high-noise or hazardous material areas.
- Fall Protection: Full-body harnesses and dual-lanyard fall arrest systems must be used for any work 2 meters or more above the ground.
- Zero Intoxication: Consumption or possession of alcohol, illegal drugs, or banned substances on-site is strictly prohibited.
- Emergency Awareness: All workers must know the locations of site assembly points, emergency exits, and first-aid stations.
- Hazard Reporting: Unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or near-misses must be reported to supervisors immediately.
- Authorized Access Only: Employees must only enter areas where they are authorized and trained to work.
- Clear Evacuation: Obey all site alarms; never block fire exits, stairwells, or emergency routes.
- Trained Operators: Heavy machinery and specialized equipment must only be operated by certified personnel.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO): Power sources must be completely isolated, locked, and tagged before any maintenance or repair work begins.
- Live Circuit Avoidance: Treat all electrical circuits and wires as live/energized unless proven otherwise.
- Daily Inspections: Tools, ladders, and scaffolding must be inspected daily and tagged as safe before use.
- Lifting Operations: Operators must never stand under suspended loads, and cranes/hoists must have valid load-testing certificates.
- Proactive Housekeeping: Work areas, walkways, and stairs must be kept free of debris, grease, and clutter to prevent slips and trips.
- Chemical Segregation: Hazardous chemicals must be clearly labeled, stored in ventilated areas, and kept with available Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Waste Management: Oils, solvents, and debris must be disposed of in designated waste bins to prevent environmental contamination.
- Dust & Noise Control: Water suppression and noise-reduction enclosures must be utilized to comply with environmental limits.
- Prohibition of Shortcuts: Ignoring safety rules, disabling safety guards on machinery, or modifying PPE for convenience is grounds for disciplinary action.
