 As of July 2024, 23 companies have submitted bids for the second tranche of the Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) electrolyzer manufacturing tender: 

Total bids: 2,847 MW, which is more than the offered 1,500 MW capacity 

Bidders: Adani Enterprises, Advait Infratech, Avaada Electrolyser, GH2 Solar, Green H2 Network India, Hydrosun Cleantech, Matrix Gas and Renewables, Newage Green Electro, Ohmium Operations, Oriana Power, Thermax, and Waaree Energies 

Bucket-filling approach: The bidder with the lowest specific energy capacity and highest local value addition (LVA) is awarded financial support first, followed by the next lowest, and so on 

The tender is part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) and is intended to boost domestic manufacturing and green hydrogen production. The base incentive for the winners is ₹4,440 per kilowatt of electrolyzer capacity sold, decreasing annually to ₹1,480 per kilowatt in five years.
