How to avoid Glycine losses in a GV dual activated solution for Carbondioxide absorption?
The CO2 removal unit containing following percentage of Glycene, the loss of Glycene can be control by maintaining temperature as per attached flow digram, higher temp lead to loss of glycene.
K2CO3 -27%
GLYCENE- 1.2%
DEA -1.0%
VANADIUM- 0.4%
CHEMISTRY INVOLVED
ABSORBTION REACTION
K2CO3+H20+CO2 =2 KHCO3
REGENERATION REACTION
2KHCO3 +HEAT = K2CO3 +H20+CO2
Please find attached herewith link & attached diagram.
Good Luck !

Technical Report: "Latest technique adopted in Ammonia Plant to improve Energy"
But can I know
1. How is Glycine escaping at higher temperatures irrespective of its High Volatility (B.Pt around 230C)?
2.Is there any effect of Aeration on DEA & Glycine?
3. Does reflux in the system (Water or Condensate) effects the absorption process? (Increasing or decreasing the CO2 Slip)?
Aeration cannot be done, for passivation V2O5 solution is used. You are saying right but How much partial pressure of GV in multi components system?
Addition of Vanadium as Corrosion Inhibitor, Static and Dynamic Passivation (0.5 % V2O5)
Iron content of the solution representation equilibrium (iron content more than 200-300ppm considered excessively high).
V+5 Protecting Layer( 5-10 % of total vanadium content).
V+5 equilibrium with V+4 V5+ + Fe2 = V4+ + Fe3+
Operating Parameters
Temperature - Hot aqueous solution to increase the rate of reaction. - Keep the bicarbonate in the dissolved form. - Boiling point temperature for Re generators.
Pressure - High pressure in absorber increase the solubility of process gas in GV solution.solution. Reflux is not suitable for this process generally distillation process in used or to separation process.
Amine Solution is the best option for capturing CO2 as shown in attached table
