Here are some bioethanol plants in India

Here are some bioethanol plants in India:

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd's 2G ethanol biorefinery in Panipat, Haryana

This 35-acre plant was inaugurated in August 2022 by Prime Minister Modi. It can process 200,000 tonnes of agricultural waste annually to produce around 30 million liters of ethanol. The plant uses 2G technology to convert agricultural waste like rice straw, wheat straw, cotton stalk, corn cobs, and corn stover into ethanol. It is expected to reduce pollution from stubble burning and remove around 320,000 metric tons of CO2 annually.
