QUALITY ASSURANCE /QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAMME
IN WATER LABORTORY
1. PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL PROFICIENCY TESTING (PT) PROGRAMME
CPCB laboratory has obtained Laboratory Accreditation through National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Department of Science and Technology as per ISO 17025. The accreditation covered 85 chemical and 6 biological parameters.
As per the requirements of NABL Laboratory Accreditation system (ISO – 17025) the laboratory has to undergo in participating Proficiency Testing (PT) programme for the parameters covered under scope. Accordingly CPCB has participated 12 international PT programmes, conducted by:

New York State, Dept. of Health - 09
INTI, Argentina - 01
Water laboratory has participated and qualified in PT programme for various physico-chemical parameters viz. Alkalinity, Ammonia-N, BOD, Calcium, Calcium Hardness, Chloride, COD, Conductivity, Cynide, Fluoride, Magnesium, Nitrate-N, Nitrite-N, Oil and grease, Orthophosphate-P, pH, Phosphate - P, Potassium, Sodium, Sulphate, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Dissolved Solids , Total Hardness, Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen, Total Organic Carbon, Total Solids, Total solids, Total Suspended Solids and Total suspended solids.
