Nepal, and the northern parts of India including Delhi,
experienced an earthquake of the magnitude 7.9 on the Richter scale
today morning at 11:50 A.M. Nepal has suffered maximum damage due to
the earthquake with some places experiencing tremors of as much as 8.1
magnitude.

- The USGS has again revised the magnitude of the first earthquake to 7.8. Also, so far 15 aftershocks have been recorded in Nepal with magnitudes ranging from 4.5 to 6.6.
- Climbers on Mount Everest were also caught in the major earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday. "We got caught in an earthquake on Everest. We are both ok...snowing here so no choppers coming," an AFP reporter said in an SMS on approach to base camp while on assignment.
