The density of seawater varies depending on temperature, salinity, and pressure

The density of seawater varies depending on temperature, salinity, and pressure:

Surface seawater: The density of surface seawater ranges from 1020 to 1029 kg/m3. For example, at a temperature of 25 °C, salinity of 35 g/kg, and 1 atm pressure, the density of seawater is 1023.6 kg/m3.

Deep ocean: Under high pressure, seawater can reach a density of 1050 kg/m3 or higher.

Average density: The average density of the ocean is 1.03 g/cm3.

Seawater is denser than fresh water, ranging from 24-28 kg/m3 denser
