The first Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) of India was
commenced in A.P. at Jeedimetla (Hyderabad) in 1989 to cater to the
needs of the small scale industries.
A.P. was the first state in India to commence “Treatment Storage Disposal Facility” at Dundigal
A.P. is the first State to have Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility in the Country
APPCB
operates four Municipal Solid Waste processing plants for processing
Municipal Solid waste. There are Twenty Sewage treatment plants in the
State to treat 693.5 MLD of Sewage generated in the cities and towns
APPCB in collaboration with CPCB has set up Continous Ambient Air
Quality Monitoring Station at Head Office located at Parayavaran Bhavan,
Sanathnagar, Hyderabad
