Tecnimont's EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) performance has been strong, with recent projects

Tecnimont's EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) performance has been strong, with recent projects including:

Petrochemical plant in Qatar

Tecnimont's subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.A. was awarded a $1.3 billion EPC contract for a petrochemical plant in Qatar. The project includes engineering, equipment and material supply, erection, and construction activities.

Green hydrogen plant in India

Tecnimont Private Limited (TPL) was awarded an EPC contract for a 4.3 tons per day green hydrogen production plant in Vijaipur, India. The project is being executed in collaboration with NextChem.

Sines Industrial Complex in Portugal

Tecnimont S.p.A. won an EPC contract for the Sines Industrial Complex, which is the largest chemical site in Portugal. The project will use technologies to maximize energy efficiency and create high quality plastic materials.

IOCL Paradip and IOCL Barauni Projects

Tecnimont S.p.A. India Project Office (TIPO) is executing these two projects in association with TPL. The projects are expected to be completed in FY24-25

Tecnimont Private Limited, an Indian subsidiary of Tecnimont, was awarded the EPC contract for the first green hydrogen production plant in India in May 2022. The plant was built in collaboration with NEXTCHEM and is located in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. The plant's features include:

Production capacity: The plant produces 4.3 tons of green hydrogen per day

Electrolysis unit: The plant uses a 10-megawatt Polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolysis unit

Hydrogen purity: The hydrogen produced is about 99.999 volume % pure

The plant is part of India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to produce at least 5 million tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. The plant is also a reference site for NEXTCHEM's future energy transition projects in India.

Tecnimont has also been awarded a Front-End-Engineering Design for an integrated green-hydrogen-and-ammonia-plant in Portugal.

AM Green India Pvt Ltd and Tecnimont are both involved in green energy projects in India, including green hydrogen and green ammonia plants:

AM Green India Pvt Ltd

An energy entrepreneurship venture that aims to be a cost-competitive producer of green hydrogen, green ammonia, and other green molecules. AM Green is owned and controlled by Anil Chalamalasetty and Mahesh Kolli, the founders of the Hyderabad-based Greenko Group.

Tecnimont

An engineering and construction (E&C) solutions company that is part of the MAIRE Group. Tecnimont has been involved in several green energy projects in India, including:

Green ammonia plant: Tecnimont was awarded an engineering design study for a green ammonia plant in India. The study will use NEXTCHEM's ArcHy digital tool to optimize the plant's components and minimize costs.

Green hydrogen plant: Tecnimont and NEXTCHEM are involved in the GAIL Vijaipur green hydrogen plant, which is India's largest green hydrogen plant. The plant supports India's goals for energy independence and Net Zero.

John Cockerill and Technip Energies are industrial leaders in the hydrogen market that recently partnered to create Rely, a company that provides green hydrogen solutions:

Rely

A joint venture between John Cockerill and Technip Energies that aims to scale up green hydrogen and power-to-X solutions. Rely is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium and is 60% owned by Technip Energies and 40% owned by John Cockerill.

John Cockerill

A company that develops large-scale technological solutions to help preserve natural resources, produce responsibly, and contribute to greener mobility. John Cockerill has a 20% share of the electrolyzer market.

Technip Energies

An engineering and technology company with a leading position in hydrogen, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and ethylene. Technip Energies has delivered over 270 hydrogen plants.

The partnership between John Cockerill and Technip Energies was formed to address the need to accelerate technology development to support net-zero ambitions. The goal of Rely is to make green hydrogen and power-to-X production accessible, safe, affordable, and certain at scale.

John Cockerill has also partnered with Greenko to develop a hydrogen industry in India.
