👷‍♂️ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is more than a uniform requirement — it is your final barrier against workplace hazards.

Every day, workers may be exposed to falling objects, flying particles, excessive noise, dust, chemicals, sharp materials, impact hazards and work-at-height risks. The correct PPE helps reduce the severity of injuries when other controls cannot fully eliminate the hazard.

🔎 BEFORE STARTING WORK — ASK YOURSELF:

✅ What hazards are present in my work area?

✅ What PPE is required for this task?

✅ Is my PPE the correct type and size?

✅ Is it clean, undamaged and properly maintained?

✅ Do I know how to wear, adjust and use it correctly?

🪖 ESSENTIAL PPE CHECK:

🔹 Safety Helmet — protects against head impact and falling objects.

🔹 Safety Goggles — protects eyes from dust, particles, chemicals and other hazards.

🔹 Safety Gloves — select according to the hazard: cut, chemical, heat or mechanical protection.

🔹 Hi-Vis Clothing — improves worker visibility around vehicles, equipment and low-light areas.

🔹 Safety Shoes — protect feet against impact, compression, puncture and slip hazards.

🔹 Safety Harness — required where appropriate for work-at-height and fall protection systems.

🔹 Hearing Protection — reduces exposure to hazardous workplace noise.

🔹 Respiratory Protection — must be selected according to the airborne hazard and workplace assessment.

🔹 Face Shield — provides additional face protection from sparks, splashes and flying particles.
