What is Scaffolding Tagging System?.. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

 Definition.. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿ™‹

A Scaffolding Tagging System is a safety method used to show whether a scaffold is safe or unsafe to use.

It helps workers quickly identify the condition of the scaffold.

๐Ÿ”ฐ Explanation.

There are usually three scaffold tag colors:

๐ŸŸข Green Tag-Safe for Use

The scaffold has been inspected and is safe for workers.

๐ŸŸก Yellow Tag – Use with Caution

The scaffold has some restrictions or incomplete parts.

๐Ÿ”ด Red Tag – Do Not Use

The scaffold is unsafe or under construction

These inspections are typically done by a competent person, as recommended by Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

⭕ Example

Before starting work on a scaffold:

The inspector checks the structure

Attaches a green tag indicating it is safe to use

If the scaffold is damaged, a red tag is placed so workers know not to use it.
