Caking is a complex phenomenon. It is primarily dependent on the
chemical composition of the Fertilizer. Depending upon the chemical
composition, different fertilizers have different CRH (Critical Relative
Humidity). The CRH for various Fertilizers are as given below:
Low CRH of fertilizer means, it will absorb moisture from the environment. Hence, such fertilizers are more prone to moisture absorption and caking. The caking phenomenon is further accelerated by the presence of moisture, pressure and storage conditions. Neelam Aqua & Speciality Chem, manufactures anticaking agents for a wide variety of applications. We have specialized anticaking agents for granular NPK / DAP/MAP fertilizers. Depending upon the grade of fertilizers like 15-15-15 or 19-19-19, or 28-28-0, the most suitable anticaking agent is suggested .
