For safety during sunny-day bush and grass cutting at a solar plant, always wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and reflective clothing. Stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade to prevent heat-related illnesses like sunstroke. Be aware of potential hazards, such as the risk of electrical shock from stray wires or wildlife like snakes and wasps. Cut vegetation in the cooler parts of the day (morning or early evening) and know the location of water sources for hydration.

Personnel & Equipment Safety

Wear PPE:

Always wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing suitable for the job, according to Mitarsh Energy and CleanMax.

Electrical Safety:

Be aware of any loose or damaged wires in the solar array, as they can pose a significant electrical hazard.

Training:

Ensure all personnel are properly trained in safety procedures and how to handle emergencies.

Environmental & Health Safety

Hydrate:

Drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade to prevent dehydration, sunburn, and heatstroke, especially on sunny days.

Timing:

Work during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon, to minimize exposure to peak heat.

Wildlife Awareness:

Be vigilant for snakes, rodents, and wasps that may be present in the vegetation and may pose a threat.

Fall Protection:

If performing tasks at heights, use safety harnesses and lifelines.

Solar Plant-Specific Considerations

Site Cleanliness:

Keep the site free of debris, especially around inverters and other electrical equipment.

Plant Health:

Consider the proximity of growing plants to the solar panels, as they could potentially be damaged by excessive heat or falling debris.
