It's required for all vehicles, including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and 18-wheelers.

What happens if I don't have a valid PUC certificate?

You can be fined by traffic police or transport authorities. 

You can be imprisoned for up to six months. 

Your driver's license can be suspended for up to three months.
