FIRST AID EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW

 🚑 FIRST AID EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW 🩹

A few minutes of correct first aid can save a life. Save this post and share it with someone who needs it! ❤️

🫀 CARDIAC ARREST: Call emergency help → start CPR (30 compressions : 2 breaths if trained) → use an AED if available.

🩸 SEVERE BLEEDING: Apply firm, continuous direct pressure. For life-threatening limb bleeding, use a tourniquet if trained.

🔥 BURNS: Cool under clean running water for 20 minutes. Cover with a clean, non-stick dressing. ❌ No ice, toothpaste, butter or oil.

😮‍💨 CHOKING: Encourage coughing if effective. Severe choking → 5 back blows + 5 abdominal thrusts, repeating as needed. If unconscious → CPR.

🧠 STROKE — FAST:

F = Face drooping

A = Arm weakness

S = Speech difficulty

T = Time to get emergency help 🚨

🤕 FRACTURE: Keep still and support/immobilize the injured area. ❌ Don't straighten the bone.

⚡ ELECTRIC SHOCK: Turn off the power before touching the person. Then check breathing and start CPR if needed.

☠️ POISONING: Remove from exposure if safe. Keep the substance/container for identification. ❌ Don't induce vomiting unless instructed by a professional.

😵 FAINTING: Lay flat, check breathing, and monitor. If they don't recover quickly, seek emergency help.

🌡️ HEAT STROKE: Move to a cool place and cool rapidly. Confusion, collapse or unconsciousness = emergency.

🐍 SNAKE BITE: Keep calm and still, immobilize the limb, and seek urgent medical care. ❌ Don't cut, suck, ice or tightly tourniquet the bite.
