A method statement explains how a task will be carried out safely—step by step, with the hazards, controls, responsibilities, equipment and emergency arrangements clearly defined.
Before work begins, ask:

⚠️ Have the hazards and risks been identified?
🛡️ Are the required controls actually in place?
👷 Do the workers understand their roles?
🔄 Has it been reviewed if site conditions change?
A method statement sitting in an office does not control risk. It becomes useful when the people doing the work understand it and follow the agreed controls.
