A proud moment for the Hyderabad CEO Club as our member Mahesh Kolli, along with his co-founder Anil Chalamalasetty, makes news with a major new move in India’s AI infrastructure journey.
AM Intelligence (AMI), the AI infrastructure platform promoted by the founders of Greenko Group, has placed a firm order for approximately 9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs, to be deployed as Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems at its first AI Factory in Hyderabad.
The first 30 MW phase is expected to make the Hyderabad facility one of Asia’s first frontier AI compute clusters, putting Hyderabad firmly on the global AI infrastructure map.
This is part of a much larger ambition. AMI plans to build 1 GW of Compute-as-a-Service capacity globally, with an initial 200 MW expected to come to market in the near term, alongside 5 GW of powered AI data centres across India, the United States and Europe.
What makes the story particularly interesting is the journey of Kolli Mahesh and Anil Chalamalasetty. Having built Greenko into one of India’s leading renewable energy platforms, they are now taking their deep understanding of energy and infrastructure into the rapidly expanding world of AI compute.
From Greenko in renewable energy, to AM Green in green fuels, and now AM Intelligence in AI infrastructure, Mahesh and Anil are building across sectors that are likely to shape the coming decades.
And it is especially exciting to see Hyderabad at the heart of this next chapter.
