⚡ ELECTRICAL LOAD BALANCING CALCULATION
❓ How do you balance electrical loads across three phases?
Electrical load balancing distributes single-phase loads as evenly as possible across the R, Y, and B phases to reduce current imbalance and improve system performance.
📐 FORMULA:
Average Phase Current = (IR + IY + IB) ÷ 3
🔹 EXAMPLE:
R Phase = 80 A
Y Phase = 70 A
B Phase = 60 A
Average Current = (80 + 70 + 60) ÷ 3
✅ Average Phase Current = 70 A
📍 BALANCING ACTION:
• Transfer suitable single-phase loads from the highest-loaded phase to the lowest-loaded phase.
• Recheck phase currents after redistribution.
• Check neutral current and voltage imbalance.
⚠️ Actual balancing must consider load demand, power factor, harmonics, conductor ratings, and applicable standards. Work must be performed by a qualified electrician.
