🔥 HOT WORK SAFETY – THINK SAFE, WORK SAFE! 🔥

🔥 HOT WORK SAFETY – THINK SAFE, WORK SAFE! 🔥

Hot work activities such as welding, gas cutting, grinding, brazing, and soldering can generate sparks, heat, and open flames that may cause fires, explosions, burns, and serious injuries.

✅ Essential Hot Work Safety Precautions:

🔹 Obtain an approved Hot Work Permit before starting work.

🔹 Conduct a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).

🔹 Remove flammable and combustible materials from the work area.

🔹 Wear appropriate PPE, including a welding helmet, safety goggles, leather gloves, flame-resistant clothing, and safety shoes.

🔹 Keep suitable fire extinguishers readily available.

🔹 Use fire blankets and non-combustible screens to control sparks.

🔹 Assign a trained fire watch during hot work and continue post-work monitoring as required by site procedures.

🔹 Ensure proper ventilation and fume extraction.

🔹 Inspect the work area, including spaces above and below, before starting the job.

🔹 Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions arise.

⚠️ Remember: No valid permit, no hot work! Never compromise safety for production.

🦺 Work Safe • Prevent Fires • Protect Lives
